The body of a press worker was recovered in Manikganj
Police have recovered the body of a press worker named Ramzan Ali (30) in Shibalaya upazila. The body was recovered from a field in Shimulia village of Shimulia union of the upazila on Friday (May 26) morning.
The deceased was identified as Ramzan, son of late Lebu Mia of Shimulia village. He was an employee of a printing press in Uttara area of Dhaka.
Ramzan Ali's cousin Nasir Mia said Ramzan was returning home from Dhaka on Thursday night as he had a weekly holiday on Friday. After reaching Mahadevpur Bazaar around 10 pm, he had his last talk with his wife. At that time, Ramzan said he would reach home quickly. But he did not reach home even after an hour and his family members went out to look for him as Ramzan's phone was switched off. He was not found in various places overnight. Later, around 8 am on Friday, a local man came to pick chillies from the field and saw the bloody corpse of Ramadan. After receiving the news, the police recovered the body and sent it to Manikganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Sultana of Shibalaya Circle said the deceased had signs of sharp weapon
injuries on various parts of his body including his neck, head and hands. He
was initially thought to have been hacked to death. Police are working to
identify the cause of the murder and the killers in a short time. The family is
preparing to file a case at the police station.
